This study identifies and classifies nine international assessment tools and examines their applicability to benchmarking Visegrad Four (V4) countries, particularly Slovakia. Using an exploratory-descriptive approach, it combines comparative content analysis, secondary quantitative analysis, and qualitative synthesis. The tools are classified into three groups based on their scope and methodological characteristics. Findings reveal differences in measured dimensions, data sources, and benchmarking potential. Slovakia\u2019s BIPA score is comparable to those of Czechia and Poland, while its WGI Government Effectiveness score is lower.
